HIST 001H — Honors Survey of American History 3 Units
Students are provided a broad approach to the social, constitutional, economic and political history of the U.S. with emphasis upon key events, issues and their backgrounds. HIST 001 /001H, along with POLS C1000/C1000H, satisfies the District requirements in United States History and Constitution, and in state and local government. This Honors course focuses on critical reading and writing, and the preparation of research papers and student presentations and collaborations. This course also emphasizes student research, writing, and reporting to the instructor and where possible presenting to the class or a group of interested individuals.
