CIS 157 — Introduction to Unix/Linux 3 Units
Students will be introduced to the Unix/Linux operating systems. Topics covered include a basic editor, shells, directory and file structure, file permissions, passwords, security, redirection, pipes, filters, regular expressions and shell programming. Additional topics include the use of I/O devices, Internet access, and an introduction to system administration.
