MATH38A — Precalculus I

Units: 4 Hours: 72 hours LEC Grade Options: Letter Grade General Education: Delta Area 2; Cal-GETC Area 2 This is part I of a preparatory course for Calculus. In this course, emphasis is placed on the algebraic skills and function knowledge necessary for success in Calculus. Topics include absolute value, linear, quadratic, polynomial, rational, radical, exponential and logarithmic equations, functions and their applications. Graphing calculators may be required. Since MATH 38A and MATH 38AEX are equivalent courses, credit may be awarded for either MATH 38A or MATH 38AEX but not both. (HBCU, UC, CSU, C-ID MATH 955)
