HORT20 — Landscape and Turf Management
Units: 3 Hours: 36 hours LEC; 54 hours LAB Grade Options: Letter Grade or Inc. Term Typically Every spring term This course involves enhancing public and private landscapes through sustainable management practices. Concepts cover the planting and maintenance of trees, shrubs, ground covers, specialty plantings, and turf areas. Cultural and business practices include scheduling of maintenance activities, creating bids, pruning, mowing, irrigation system repair, soil care and fertilizing, pest and disease management, and equipment operation, maintenance, and safety. Lab is required and includes industry speakers. (CSU)
