HORT12 — Plant Propagation and Production
Units: 3 Hours: 36 hours LEC; 54 hours LAB Grade Options: Letter Grade or Inc. Term Typically Every spring term This course focuses on plant propagation and production practices with emphasis on nursery operations including sexual and asexual reproduction, planting, transplanting, and fertilizing. Concepts include plant pest and disease control in propagation environments, preparation and use of propagating and planting mediums, use and maintenance of common tools and equipment, and regulations pertaining to plant production. The course also examines structures and site layout. Laboratory required. (CSU, C-ID AG-EH 116 L)
