BUS33 — Introduction to Public Administration and Policy

Units: 3 Hours: 54 hours LEC Grade Options: Letter Grade Term Typically Every fall term This course is an introduction to the study of principles and challenges in public administration, including the processes of policy formation, implementation, and evaluation. Course topics include the political environment, personnel management, public and social policy, governmental regulations, public relations, strategic management, labor relations, public financial management, accountability, and ethics. Government service as a career is discussed. Since BUS 33 and LAW 33 are cross listed courses, credit may be awarded for either BUS 33 or LAW 33 but not both. (CSU)
