BIOL32 — Human Physiology

Units: 5 Hours: 54 hours LEC; 108 hours LAB Grade Options: Letter Grade General Education: Delta Area 5 Term Typically Every term Advisories: Successful completion of Intermediate Algebra or appropriate placement as determined by the college’s multiple measures assessment process . This course applies physiological principles to the function and homeostasis of the human body at the cellular, tissue, organ, organ system and organismal level. Topics include: integumentary system, bone, skeletal, smooth and cardiac muscles, nervous system, sensory organs, cardiovascular system, lymphatic and immune systems, respiratory system, urinary system, digestive system, endocrine system, and reproductive system. Emphasis is placed on the integration of these systems. This course is primarily intended for Nursing, Allied Health, Kinesiology, and other health related majors. (UC, CSU, C-ID 120B)
