BIM9001B — Noncredit Intermediate Keyboarding and Microsoft Word Business Documents Formatting
Units: 0 Hours: 27 hours LEC; 27 hours LAB Grade Options: Pass/No Pass This noncredit course is designed to develop the keyboard-proficient student to increase speed and accuracy using proper keyboarding techniques. Keyboarding focus is placed on speed and accuracy of a 5-minute timed writing based on Net Words Per Minute (WPM). An official typing certificate is awarded to students meeting current industry typing test certificate guidelines for a 5-minute timed writing. Students will learn beginning to intermediate features of Microsoft Word and formatting guidelines of the most common business documents, including industry standard formatting of e-mails, memorandums, business letters, academic reports, and business reports. Noncredit courses may be repeated.
