BIM9001A — Noncredit Beginning Keyboarding
Units: 0 Hours: 9 hours LEC; 27 hours LAB Grade Options: Pass/No Pass Term Typically Every term This noncredit course is an introduction to touch keyboarding skills on a personal computer with standard typing keyboard for alphabetic, numeric, and symbol keys. The student learns proper touch keyboarding techniques to establish threshold speed and accuracy. Keyboarding focus is placed on speed and accuracy of 3-minute timed writing based on Gross Words A Minute (GWAM). An official typing certificate is awarded to students meeting current industry typing test certificate guidelines. Noncredit courses may be repeated.
