CDEC 2366 — Practicum (or Field Experience) - Child Care Provider/Assistant

This course includes practical, general workplace training supported by an individualized learning plan developed by the employer, College, and student. The plan relates the workplace training and experiences to the student’s general and technical course of study. The guided external experiences may be for pay or no pay. This course may be repeated if topics and learning outcomes vary. This course includes a MINIMUM of 336 HOURS (toward the end of the degree plan) of field experience requiring students to participate in field experiences with children from infancy through age 8 (8 years meaning 3rd grade) in a variety of settings with varied and diverse populations.
