HSR-101 — Introduction to Human Services
This course explores the history of the human services profession. Students will develop an awareness of the conditions that promote or inhibit human functioning for diverse populations. Students will learn about current trends of service for individual and group clients. Students will reflect on personal and professional values, attitudes and skills, as well as strategies of self-care expected for human service professionals.
