MECH 1380 - Computer Integrated Manufacturing MECH 1380 - Computer Integrated Manufacturing 3 Credit(s) This course teaches the basics of computer integrated manufacturing (CIM) technology, work cell manufacturing, and automated manufacturing processes. Students will learn the basics of process control and the integration of such to achieve machine movement and integration. Topics include manufacturing and material handling processes, assembly operations, work cells, elements of automation, and the combination of manufacturing elements. This course examines the benefits realized using CIM as applied to a production or assembly process. Students will use 3D computer software to learn how to analyze and solve problems in computer-controlled equipment and processes. General Education Requirement: No TN Transfer Pathway: No
