This course includes the following topics: Emergency Medical Responder and Emergency Medical Technician- National Educational Standards competencies, roles and responsibilities of the AEMT, workforce safety, wellness, public health, communications, documentation, medical/legal/ethical considerations, anatomy and physiology, life span development, pathophysiology, patient assessment, critical thinking, airway management, respiratory emergencies, cardiovascular emergencies, acute diabetic emergencies, abdominal and gastrointestinal emergencies, neurologic emergencies, anaphylactic reactions, and behavioral emergencies.
