MFGT 80 — Introduction to Machine Shop

This course introduces basic machine shop practices and how to safely operate common machinery found in industry. It provides students with an understanding of measurement systems and how to properly use precision and non-precision measuring equipment. It also includes a short introduction into Computer Numerical Control turning and milling. Tools and lab supplies will be provided; however, students will be responsible for supplying all safety gear and appropriate shop attire.
