This is an advanced practical field course taught during the fall semester at the school forest. Designed to apply skills acquired in other natural resources courses and under actual field conditions. Subjects include timber sale planning and preparation, harvest systems, recreation planning and analysis, silviculture application, land boundary determination, and leadership-crew dynamics. Course consists of a work day emulating field techniques of the natural resources industry. Preparing school forest infrastructure for winter season. A room and board fee is required. Field trip required for this course.
