MATH200 — Mathematics for Elementary Teaching I
4 lectures per week: 4 hrs transfer credit This course covers topics using problem solving, bases other than ten, estimation, mental math, number systems, and operations in the number systems using algorithmic and non-algorithmic techniques. The two-course sequence of MATH 200 and MATH 206 is designed for Education majors seeking state licensure. This is a mathematics content course, not a methods course in teaching mathematics.
