IT106 — Mathematics for Computers

3 lectures per week: 3 hrs credit This course is designed to provide an understanding of the numerical concepts required for data processing. Included in the course are the following topics: binary, octal and hexadecimal number systems, set theory, logic, floating and fixed point numbers, problem solving, and algebra as it relates to data processing.

Prerequisites: MATH093, MATH094
