AGRI2260 — Equine & Food Animal Evaluation

The course will conduct visual and objective evaluation of horses for soundness and the relationship of form to function. Appraisals and evaluations of beef cattle, swine and sheep for functional efficiency will be conducted. Comparative dairy judging, breed classification programs, and economic value of conformation traits will also be conducted. Oral reasons will be given to justify placings for all species. Prerequisite(s): AGRI 2250
