General Biology is the study of life with emphasis on the cell and continues through all levels of organization. Major areas of study include cell theory, energy transformation. Bio-technology, evolution, and ecology. This course includes a laboratory component covering scientific method, microscope use, cell organization, physical and chemical basis of life, energy processing, biotechnology, genetics, and evolution.
