CIP Code: 48.0508 Principles of gas metal arc welding setup and use of Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) equipment and safe use of tools/equipment. Instruction in various joint designs. Lab fee required. Students will describe welding positions with various joint designs; describe the effects of welding parameters in GMAW; apply safety rules; troubleshoot equipment used, perform visual inspection; weld various types of structural material; and diagnose welding problems. 1 Requisite(s): Take WLDG 1421 Faculty Consent: N
