Application of knowledge and skills occurs in the nursing skills laboratory and a variety of healthcare settings. BIOL 2214 Anatomy and Physiology I, BIOL 2224 Anatomy and Physiology II, MATH 1203 College Algebra or higher (excluding MATH 1313), PSYC 2003 General Psychology, ENGL 1013 English Composition I, MBIO 2014 General Microbiology, PSYC 2103 Human Growth & Development, ENGL 1023 English Composition II, HIM 1123 Electronic Health Records, and NURS 9313 Pharmacological Basics of Nursing. Nursing Practice clinical reasoning and nursing judgement to provide patient and family centered care decisions. Select appropriate health promotion and restorative nursing behaviors for the pediatric client and family. Recommend self-care initiatives related to the nursing professional, pediatric client, and family as it relates to select health-related problems. Appraise the impact of legal, ethical and cultural issues as they relate to the care of the pediatric client and family. Select developmentally appropriate care methods as it relates to the pediatric client with selected disease processes. General Education
