CMJS 2003 - Law Enforcement in Society CMJS 2003 - Law Enforcement in Society Description The various expectations placed upon the role of the police will be examined with special emphasis upon the police organization’s interactions with other components of the criminal justice system. Special attention is focused upon the topics of women in law enforcement, the hiring, promotion, and interactions with minorities, use of force, training issues, national accreditation and the reshaping of the role of the police in a changing society. List and explain the daily tasks and operations of law enforcement officers. Achieve a level of understanding of the law regarding use of force and apply that understanding to specific fact situations. General Education
