MUSI 1311 - Music Theory I MUSI 1311 - Music Theory I 3 credit hours. Lecture/Lab/Clinical: Three hours of class each week. To be taken concurrently with MUSI 1116 . The study of analysis and writing of tonal melody and diatonic harmony, including fundamental music concepts, scales, intervals, chords, 7th chords, and early four-part writing. Analysis of small compositional forms. Optional correlated study at the keyboard. Note: Scholarships are available to deserving students, regardless of major. Interested students should contact the music faculty advisor for audition times and details.
