RESP1103 — Foundations of Respiratory Care
3 Credits The course provides the student with the foundations of respiratory care. Course topics include the profession, roles and responsibilities of the respiratory therapist in today’s health care environment and scientific principles guiding the practice of respiratory care. Content includes infection control, pharmacology for respiratory care, pulmonary function testing and interpretation, physics for respiratory care, medical records, protocols and computer applications.
