3 Credits Survey of American poetry, fiction, and essays from 1620 to 1865. Provides historical, biographical, and formal approaches to these works of American literature. (GEO 2, 3) Critique various literary techniques, methods, and ideas. (GEO 2, 3) Formulate how literature reflects culture and society. (GEO 2, 3, 4) Write at least one interpretive paper.
