Emphasis is placed on pregnancy, childbirth, postpartum, and the newborn with nursing care directed in a family-centered holistic approach. Selected women’s health issues and potential complications are included that pertain to the childbearing cycle. Legal and ethical directives are reviewed. This is an eight week course. Lecture: 3 Lab: 6 Prerequisite(s): A minimum of a “C” grade or higher: PNE 120 , PNE 123 , PSY 110 Co-requisite(s): PSY 230 , PNE 117 & PNE 118 or PNE 119 , and PNE 122
