Students will have opportunities to gain real world experience by producing organizational videos. Advanced techniques in directing, videography, audio and video editing, and lighting will be employed. This course will allow students to build confidence in their producing skills as well as add to their portfolios. UG 4 Lab Hour(s) 1 Lecture Hour(s); Required Design a floor plan and light plot using a 3D modeling program Set and lighting plan (week 3) 2. Produce, write and direct a documentary style video profile (EFP) Project 1 (week 8) 3. Produce, write and direct a video for external or internal organizational communication Project 2 (last week of the term) 4. Demonstrate and evaluate screen design principles for video Video and screen design critiques, (week 7-15) 5. Discuss aspects of being a freelance video professional and how to manage yourself.
