Reality shock, the changing healthcare delivery system, as well as legal and ethical responsibilities and issues are included. The role of health care organizations as they relate to the practice of nursing is covered. The nurse’s role in the political arena is explored. Delegation as an integral part of nursing care delivery is examined. Requirements for initial and continued licensure and employee expectations are included.
