Academic Division: Nursing 3 Credit(s) This course focuses on the basic needs of maternal and neonatal clients. Nursing care concepts of therapeutic communication, clinical judgment, and clinical decision-making are emphasized throughout the course. Students will discuss the roles and responsibilities of the obstetric nurse in providing quality, safe, client-centered care for diverse populations through teamwork and collaboration.
