Academic Division: Nursing 4 Credit(s) This course will continue the application of nursing care concepts, critical thinking, clinical judgment, and decision-making in care of the adult client. Students will build upon foundational knowledge established in previous coursework. Emphasis is placed on the exploration of chronic health conditions and understanding of the nursing process. Students will apply the roles and responsibilities of the developing nurse, collaborating with the healthcare team to plan evidence-based care using the nursing process. Focus is placed on basic human needs, restoration of wellness, therapeutic communication, health maintenance, and promotion.
