OTAP1021 — Foundations Ii: Therapeutic Relationships

How the occupational therapy process is applied within the context of mental health practice is discussed. In addition, interpersonal relationships, therapeutic use of self and group roles and development are discussed. Students continue to build observation skills, interaction skills and practice leading and working within groups. Relationship to Curriculum Design: This course addresses the Occupational Performance, Client-Centered Practice, Health, Wellness and Quality of Life, Communication Skills, Clinical Reasoning, and Professional and Ethical Behavior threads of the curriculum design.
