Emphasis is placed on understanding one’s concept of self, perception of others, active listening, handling conflict, learning verbal and nonverbal cues, understanding power and influence, and valuing diversity. Students will analyze, adjust, and improve their communication behaviors by critically applying interpersonal theories in a variety of communication contexts.
