SUR 1124 - Surgical Procedures I SUR 1124 - Surgical Procedures I This course familiarizes learners with surgical procedures. It emphasizes patient care, surgical anatomy, equipment and supplies needed for procedures, and surgical sequence. Students learn about pathophysiology, diagnostic tests, preoperative and postoperative care, and complications of surgery. Areas studied include diagnostic surgery, endoscopic surgery, general surgery, gastrointestinal surgery, and obstetric and gynecological surgery. Lecture 3 hours per week.
