ENGR 1103 - Building Science Fundamentals ENGR 1103 - Building Science Fundamentals This course will introduce students to various building materials, methods, and concepts used in the construction industry. Topics covered in lecture / lab include energy efficient building practices, building materials, building components and layers, insulating materials, vapor barriers, R, U, and K values. Students will also become familiar with the Arkansas Energy Code, various building codes, and blueprint reading.Lecture 2 hours and Laboratory 3 hours per week.
