PHIL 2200 - World Religions PHIL 2200 - World Religions (Honors Option Offered) 3 Class Hours An introduction to the academic study of comparative religion. Topics include basic elements of religion; strategies for recognizing patterns of similarity and divergence among different religions; and the origins, development, and fundamental beliefs and practices of Hinduism, Taoism, Buddhism, Confucianism, Jainism, Sikhism, Shinto, Judaism, Christianity, and Islam, among others. Note: PHIL 2200 meets the general education requirement for Humanities. Semester Availability: Fall, Spring * This course is part of the general education core.
