CIS120A — Computer Information Systems
A business-oriented introduction to data processing principles and information systems. Course topics include the analysis and design of business computer systems, the components of a computer system, the capabilities and limitations of computer technology, and careers for the information age. Students work with computers by learning to operate Internet browsers, electronic spreadsheets, and database systems within the Windows operating environment along with programming computers using popular programming languages. Students are expected to be able to use word processing software before enrolling in this course. This course was formerly offered as CIS120: Introduction to Data Processing.
