Sports Medicine

This short-term program is intended to provide students with the skills and knowledge to start a career in Sports Medicine. This program will teach students how to assist patients with a variety of injuries under the supervision of an Athletic or Fitness Trainer. These positions also have the responsibilities for completing nontechnical duties such as preparing treatment areas, ordering devices and supplies, and transporting patients under the direction of the trainer. Those working in the field of sports medicine may be employed on sports teams, in physical therapist offices, sports rehabilitation centers, and other healthcare facilities. This program is specifically for noncredit students
