ILA- 5 — Service Learning and Community Involvement
Description: Examines and addresses community need through service learning. Permits exploration of discipline and/or career specific interests and options through direct interface with community entities. Enriches personal and career development through the understanding of civic and social issues. Students may earn up to 4 units each semester for a maximum of 16 units. No more than 15 hours per week of volunteer work may be applied toward the service learning requirement; 60 hours of volunteer work in the semester is required for each unit. 9.00 to 0.00 hours lecture and 27.00 to 0.00 hours laboratory. (Letter grade or Pass/No Pass option)
