DEH- 42 — Practice Management and Jurisprudence
Description: This course is designed to meet the state and national accreditation requirements for an approved Dental Hygiene program. This course will introduce the student to the dental economics of a dental hygiene practice within a private dental practice. Students will become familiar with dental office procedures including computer dental office management programs as well as tissue management systems. Emphasis will be placed on the scope of practice of dental professionals as outlined by the California State Dental Practice Act (DPA). 36.00 hours lecture. (Letter grade only)
