ADJ- 201 — Crime & Intelligence Analysis Work Experience
Description: Work Experience is designed to coordinate the student’s on-the-job training within the Crime Analysis profession and designed to assist the student in developing successful qualified skills. Each student will establish measurable learning objectives appropriate for the job and discipline. This internship/externship experience provides students with significant technical tools, investigative and analytical skills, ethics, and exposure to the profession that assist in student employability. Students may earn up to four (4) units per semester, for a maximum of 16 units of work experience total. 60 hours of volunteer work or 75 hours of paid work during the semester are required for each unit. No more than 20 hours per week, out of the 60/75 requirement, may be applied towards the work requirement. The course consists of 60 hours of volunteer work experience per unit with a maximum of 240 hours for 4 units per semester OR 75 hours of paid work experience per unit, with a maximum of 300 hours for 4 units per semester. (Letter grade or Pass/No Pass option)
