This course equips early childhood educators with the skills and knowledge to meaningfully incorporate music and movement into the early learning environment to support self-expression, belonging, and holistic development. Topics include how educators' image of the child influences the selection of methods and materials; developmental stages of musical and bodily expression; and the creation of music and movement experiences that are culturally sustaining, developmentally appropriate, trauma-informed, and inclusive of all learning needs.
