CEDMS531 — Gynecologic Sonography
Learn application and scanning methods including transabdominal and endovaginal. Gynecological ultrasound includes general screening of women who are currently or have previously experienced menopause, and special diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, such as ovarian cyst aspirations and sonohysterograms (evaluation of the internal surface of the uterus). Gynecologic ultrasound provides visualization of the uterus and ovaries that may add important additional information not demonstrated using other imaging methods or with physical exam findings.
