This course focuses on the care of infants, children, and adolescents. This course allows students to perform care in pedi - atric wellness, outpatient and inpatient care settings. Students will: utilize human growth and development principles; nutri- tional guidelines, knowledge of anatomy and physiology, and evidence practice guidelines to build, apply, and evaluate a plan of care; utilizing knowledge of pathophysiology, disorder medical/surgi - cal/nursing management, pharmacologi - cal/nonpharmacological care, to: promote healthy lifestyles, rank and prioritize hypotheses, plan diagnostic/therapeutic/ educational interventions, perform inter - ventions, and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions.
