HLED 200 — Introduction to Community Health Worker
This course provides foundational knowledge and skills intended to prepare students as a community health worker (CHW) in health-related fields. A CHW assists individuals and communities in adopting healthy behaviors. Emphasis will be placed on developing the professional community health worker core competencies including health promotion, community outreach, patient relations, and advocacy skills.
