HMSV 1170 — Management Skills in Non-Profit Organizations 3 Credits
This course provides an overview of management/supervisory principles and practices as they apply to non-profit organizations. Students will learn the history, essence and philosophy of nonprofits as well as the elements of supervising, motivating, communicating, and developing practices for organizational collaborative decision making. Students will also learn the differences between managing in the nonprofit sector and the public and private for-profit sectors.
