ENG232 — Writing Creative Nonfiction

In this course, students will explore the structure and elements of creative nonfiction and the writing process. Students will write, revise, and produce fully developed works of creative nonfiction that may include memoir, personal essay, literary journalism, lyric essay and digital essays. Students will learn to analyze professionally published works of nonfiction by a wide range of writers, and demonstrate and employ the various elements of craft such as point of view, tone, style and reflection. Journals, a midterm, and a final exam may also be required.
