Enjoy beginning sewing lessons, starting with the basics of learning your sewing machine, to construct a completed garment. Employ STEAM skills as you learn basic machine use and maintenance, including proper thread and needle usage, how to choose a pattern, how to read a pattern and how to choose the proper fabric. Discover how to measure, lay out a pattern, cut fabric and construct a garment. Set aside your fear of sewing, learn a lifelong skill and see just how easy and creative sewing can be. Bring your own sewing machine to class. Supplies will be discussed at the first class.
