Practice the basics of operating a safe and sanitary kitchen. Learn culinary techniques while preparing a variety of savory items such as include pasta, salads and sandwiches. Discover the many possibilities in the culinary and hospitality industry. For students' protection they must wear long pants, a long-sleeved shirt and proper shoes. Tennis shoes with laces are fine but may not have holes, mesh or sheer fabric. No open-back shoes or heels. Students with long hair will be required to wear both a hairnet and a cap.
