Learn the basic steps of popular Latin dances, such as merengue, salsa, bachata, cumbia, swing, foxtrot, rumba and cha-cha. Beginners and those with some experience will benefit from this course. The course will include exercises for Latin hip motion, better turns, rib cage isolations, leg muscle and core strength training. No special attire is required; however, we recommend that you avoid wearing gym shoes so you can turn smoothly on the wood floor, and no flip flops, crocs or sandals. While this is not a couples dancing class, we will cover a little partner dancing basics in addition to individual moves, so you will learn the basics to have fun on the dance floor. Singles are welcome as well as couples, but a partner is not required.
