You can find more information on these changes at www.lacc.edu/ academics/common-course-numbering Recording of Grade Students enrolled in a course on a Pass/No Pass basis will receive both course and unit credit upon satisfactory completion of the course. Satisfactory completion is equivalent to the grade of “C” or better. A student with unsatisfactory performance will be assigned a “No Pass” grade. Grade Point Calculation Units earned on a Pass/No Pass basis are not included in GPA cal - culations. However, units attempted for which the “NP” (No Pass) symbol is recorded shall be considered in probationary and dis - missal procedures. Conversion to Letter Grade Credit earned in a Pass/No Pass course cannot be converted to a letter grade. STUDENT HANDBOOK Grades and Grade Changes (LACCD Administrative Procedure 4231) The instructor of record for the course determines the grade awarded to each student. The determination of the student’s grade by the instructor is final unless there is evidence of mistake, fraud, bad faith, or incompetence. For purposes of this section, “mistake” may include, but is not limited to, clerical errors and errors made by an instructor in calculating a student’s grade.
